Last year's big winners at Hilton Head Monthly’s Bridal Show give us a look into their magical day.

For Kate Weppner and Tim Nolan, a trip to last year’s Hilton Head Monthly’s Bridal Show was just the beginning of their amazing journey together. For being chosen the lucky winners at the show, the couple gets two pages to share the rustic Lowcountry charm of their wedding day with you.

JACQUILYN BROWN AND JARED WEINER
Jacquilyn Brown (pictured below) and Jared Weiner, winners of Monthly’s 2010 bridal photo contest, were married July 25 at the Liberty Oak in Harbour Town, with a reception following at the Inn at Harbour Town. Their wedding was spotlighted in a special two-page photo spread in the August Monthly by photographer Rob Kaufman (who also snapped the couple's incredible engagement shot).

The last time Charlotte resident Jared Weiner was in town, he refused to read this magazine.

“I had to completely avoid Hilton Head Monthly when we got to Hilton Head the week before our wedding, becauseI knew there was a picture of Jacquilyn in her dress in there,” said Jared, who married Jacquilyn Brown on June 25 under the Liberty Oak in Harbour Town. “But I was good. I didn’t peek.”

Mary Lou and Walter RoehllOn a trip home to visit my parents in Ohio for their 60th wedding anniversary last month, I came across a treasure in the attic: This is my mom and dad, Mary Lou and Walter Roehll, on their wedding day in 1951.

That means this year they’re celebrating 60 years of marriage — a figure that you don’t hear about much these days.

And that got us thinking: We show off a lot of local brides in the magazine and our Bridal Show, but what about the brides (and grooms) who’ve hit milestones of their own?
